LPOST(1)LPOST(1)NAMElpost - post articles to local server using rnews.
SYNOPSISlpost [ -v ]
OPTIONS-v verbose, show each article as it is uploaded.
NOTE
Use the batch function of suck and avoid lpost, this is not the most
efficient way of doing things. It is kept solely as a link to the
past, since some people still use it. It is not compiled nor installed
by default. To build and install lpost, from the source directory,
run:
./configure
make install_lpost
DESCRIPTIONlpost (local post) reads stdin and pipes the articles to rnews, typi‐
cally found in /usr/lib/news. If it is located elsewhere, change
#define RNEWS in suck_config.h. A typical way to use lpost is:
zcat output.gz | lpost
This could take a while, so be patient.
EXIT VALUES
0 on success, -1 on failure.
