NAMEIBCLR - Clears one bit
SYNOPSISIBCLR ([I=]i, [POS=]pos)
IMPLEMENTATION
UNICOS, UNICOS/mk, and IRIX systems
STANDARDS
Fortran 90
DESCRIPTION
The IBCLR intrinsic function clears one bit to zero. It accepts the
following arguments:
i Must be of type integer.
pos Must be of type integer. It must be nonnegative and less than
BIT_SIZE (i).
IBCLR is an elemental function. The name of this intrinsic cannot be
passed as an argument.
RETURN VALUES
The result type and type parameter are the same as i. The result has
the value of the sequence of bits of i, except that bit pos of i is
set to zero. The bit model defines the interpretation of an integer
value as a sequence of bits. For more information on the bit model,
see the MODELS(3I) man page.
EXAMPLES
IBCLR(14, 1) has the result 12.
If V has the value [1, 2, 3, 4], the value of IBCLR(POS = V, I = 31)
is [29, 27, 23, 15].
